About This Handbook
What This Handbook Is
This handbook documents how we at Meetball work. It reflects our lived experience, our experiments, and our evolving approach to building an anti-social network together.
We're sharing this openly because:
- Transparency helps everyone learn - If our experiments help others, awesome
- We believe in building in public - Inspired by Basecamp, GitLab, and other open organizations
- Accountability - Writing down how we work helps us work better
What This Handbook Isn't
This is not prescriptive advice. What works for us might not work for you.
Every team is different:
- Different people, different contexts
- Different stages, different challenges
- Different cultures, different laws
We share this because it helps us, and maybe it'll inspire you. But your mileage will probably vary.
Living Document
This handbook is continuously evolving. We update it as we:
- Learn from our mistakes
- Experiment with new approaches
- Grow and adapt to new challenges
If something seems outdated or unclear, it probably needs updating. Feel free to suggest changes!
